Grandfather’s House in Michigan – Since I have traveled there throughout my childhood and as an adult, I feel I have plenty of pictures I can use to represent the area and tell the story of the house and area I visited every summer. My story would go into the building of the house, which my grandmother paid for and my grandfather built with his bare hands, and how my grandfather was the center of that sense of place, and how his passing has changed the sense of place for my entire family.

Mexico Beach, Florida – Again, I have been to this area many times growing up, so I believe I have plenty of pictures I can use to represent the area and tell the story I would like to tell. My story would include the many vacations my family and I spent there over the years in the spring, summer, and even fall, but it would mainly be about how the area and sense of place has changed since the devastation caused by Hurricane Michael in 2018 (I have pictures of before and after this event).

Fort Loudon, Tennesee – My family is taking a trip to Tennesee next weekend to see the historical state park, For Loudon, and the beautiful overlook of the Tellico Reservoir and the Appalachian Mountains. I believe this would be a great opportunity to explore the area and dive into the depths of its history and culture as a sense of place.
